The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

Amador Adult Education's Inaugural Medical Assistant Class

Every Tuesday and Thursday since September 16, a group of 16 adult students has been attending the new Medical Assistant Class at Amador Adult Education, which is currently being held at the Shenandoah School Site. These students will take the National Healthcareer Association Exam in February and proceed to externships, after which they will be eligible for employment.

Daytime ESL Class Begins Soon!

Daytime English as a Second Language (ESL) classes through Amador Adult Education begin soon!
The class begins on Tuesday, January 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Plymouth Elementary.

If you are interested, please visit the Amador Adult Education website and complete the interest form, or call 209-257-5110 and press 1 to speak with the office.
 

News From the Community

Home Energy Assistance Program

Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Home Energy Assistance Program. Through this program, eligible families may receive payment assistance for some or all of their current PG&E or propane bills.

School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642. 

Please note the new meeting times:
ACOE Open Session will begin at 5:30 pm
ACUSD Open Session will begin at 7:00 pm
