Stop the Spread of Measles!

Measles is one of the most contagious infectious diseases known. The virus can live for up to 2 hours in the air where infected people have coughed or sneezed, or on surfaces they may have touched.

At most risk for severe illness from measles are unvaccinated people, especially children under age 5 years. Nearly 1 out of every 3 children under the age of 5 who catch measles ends up in the hospital.
